New record set at 340.70 km

Over the period of 3 weeks of his stay in Africa, Ondrej managed to set a new record, the longest triangle in Kenya. In a step by step approach, he first set a 310.9 km route, followed by 317 km, 331.3 km on the day of his birthday, and 333.56 km two days later. The final push of 340.70 km became his last attempt of his stay. Average speeds on the mentioned flights were in the 35-36 km/h range, and all were flown on the standard serial En-C PHI Scala2 paraglider. With well over 120 hours of airtime and 5000+ XC km covered, Kenya has had an impressive season with good weather. The triangles are currently among the longest on the African continent. For comparison, the currently ratified world record on an out-and-return course is set at 350 km (Iquique, Chile). The potential of beating this world record in Kenya is highly possible in the future. Tracklog Kenya 340 km - XContest

EN-C distance world record broken at 515 km

Back in Brasil, Ondrej dominated the dry flatlands with some long-distance flights. On his longest flight of 515.38 km (506 km straight line), he managed to set a new benchmark for the EN-C category flight, a lightweight version of the Scala 2. This glider, also flown in the Red Bull Xalps race 2025, proves to have impressive performance both in the mountains and in the flats. Other notable flights include 480.45 km, 490.00 km, and 491.58 km, as well as a couple of 400k flights from the Quixada mountain takeoff. Tracklog Brasil 515 - XContest
